Online classes these days...!!!

Those days are gone when parents were regularly asking or I must say instructing their children to stop using smartphones, laptops, tablets, etc. Actually, this was a punitive crime in their sight. They were like, "padhle beta padhle Kuch nahi pada h in sab chizo main !!!", which after all means that you are dumb and just wasting your time. But, have you noticed that I used "was" and "were" in the above sentences !!!.

Yes, this is the case these days. This is not like an infringement, which was the case 2-3 months ago, and yeah, it was very frequently faced by the students. Actually, it is quite amusing when I think of some situations before and after this pandemic in reference to this issue such as before whenever our mother used to see us with the smartphones they were furious within a second, scolding like anything, and the last ultimatum was, " aane de papa ko !!! ", and we were like, now we are gone and dead but now, as usual, mother complains but the complain is, "isne aaj mobile aurr laptop ko touch hi nahi kiya h, to iska matlab hai ki isne to class miss kardi hai !!!". Isn't this hilarious ???

But yeah on a serious note I must say that this student community which also includes me is the one who has suffered the most from the lot and yes it's quite ostensible what we as students are experiencing right now. I must say that more often than not, online classes are like torture !!!

What kind of dormant students we have become??. Most of us do not believe in a physically exhaustive schedule and this is also the main reason for having such a torpid behavior.

Now this online mode of education also came as a test to the parents, as many of them are quite worried about their child's placid schedule which has a direct impact on their health, some of them are worried because they very well understand that with all due advantages internet also has its disadvantages. There has been a statement issued by the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), which is an organization working for the better aid of the young one's all around the world, saying: 

"millions of children are at increased risk of harm as their lives move increasingly online during the lockdown in the Covid-19 pandemic". 

Also according to the report, internet exposure has increased the threat of online sexual exploitation and grooming, as predators look to exploit the Covid-19 pandemic. 

Due to this pandemic students have made themselves shrunk to the screens and their homes or I should say to their rooms only. They have made themselves an extinct species to the outside world. Many of them really don't have the time to talk to their parents, I mean seriously??? 

Many of them will just open their respective classes in whatever app or software they are asked to do so and then they will surf anything else on the internet and parents think that their child is studying so hard. Total bullshit !!!

One more issue that everybody should address in this reference is that not every student shares the same type of elite resources that are experienced by you and me. Many students residing in the rural part of our country does not have the same access to the internet as you and me. I understand that our government is providing many facilities to our rural part of our country, many amendments are specially made considering their convenience in various aspects especially in the education sector but still keeping in mind the population of our country, our rural part is still lagging. They still have a limited number of resources which we have to keep in mind and then move forward. 

It's not that I am against this mode of education, I truly agree that considering this time of pandemic this is the best-suited way of education and I also agree that every time one tries to adapt a new thing, facing difficulty is quite obvious but we need to balance our life between this virtual world and our offline world which too is very important for all of us.
